Vintage MCM lucite round footed trivet/sought-after plate.I think it’s lucite with a black base, mother of pearl details on top of the black base, & then clear over the shells to the top. 5.5” diameter.Handmade using Abalone shells found by ocean divers. “Made by the craftsman of Betty’s Shells, with the Help of Nature”. There’s some really minor surface scratches that are much consistent with its age & use. They’re honestly not really noticeable unless you’re holding it against a light glare or a camera flash. You may also notice a brown spot on the bottom side- that’s just one of the shells that sunk down too far into the resin base. No biggie.

Vintage MCM lucite round footed trivet/trending plate.
I think it’s lucite with a black base, mother of pearl details on top of the black base, & then clear over the shells to the top.
5.5” diameter.
Handmade using Abalone shells found by ocean divers. “Made by the craftsman of Betty’s Shells, with the Help of Nature”.
