Secrets: A bamboo base reflects “Le Le” and “Ya Ya,” pandas at the Memphis Zoo, while Anfe is a collector who asked for a panda. “Jabari” was a gorilla who escaped from his enclosure at the Dallas Zoo in early 2004. A baby panda, and the numbers 19, 16, and 2003 are carved inside. Nineteen pandas were born in China in 2003, and merely 16 survive. A Viagra pill is included because pandas were once given this drug in a failed attempt to increase their numbers.
