Shepherd SM/90 Drone Reeds are the truly first complete plastic telescopic drone reed.
entire three reeds are uniquely the same. The telescopic control allows the reeds to be used either as bass or tenor reeds.
Fitting & Set Up Instructions
Adjust the hemp on entire three reeds so they fit securely into the reed seats.
The reeds are set up to an average setting prior to being packaged, so the reeds should only require a really small amount of manipulation, if any, to grab them up and going.
The main considerations to start with are that the Blade and Bridle are primarily used to set the strength of the reed and the Telescopic Adjustment is used to set the pitch of the reed and in turn determining where the drone tunes.
With this in mind, the reeds are relatively hassle-complimentary to set up.
