More information about WWII Era Canadian Army Emergency Field Ration Cadbury Chocolate Bar 1945

Canadian Army Fry-Cadbury Chocolate bar ration from a world war 2 Canadian emergency field ration. The chocolate bar wrapped in foil and a paper sleeve with “Lifeboat & Raft Ration” and “this chocolate will soften when the heat is excessive and on cooling down it may have a white surface. The whiteness does not affect the eating quality of the chocolate and it still retains its full food value. Product of Fry-Cadbury LTD., Montreal” The chocolate bar was contained in a Canadian army emergency field ration(“Food Container”)for the past 80 years and a few days. Date on the original ration tin is 02/09/1945. The package is sealed and was not once opened. The top of the tin is pictured for reference but not included in this listing. This is a rare piece of Canadian military and World War 2 history for your collection. THIS IS NOT FOR EATING. DISPLAYS ONLY.
