Trumpet Vines are an old-fashioned favorite. It is a vigorous, woody vine with large, 3” trumpet-prefer orange flowers in summer and fancy cut leaves. If you are looking to attract hummingbirds, this is the vine to plant, as they are attracted to the bright blooms. After the flowers bloom, they are proceeded by long, bean-like seed pods which split and release two-winged seeds that blow in the wind. This vine is uncomplicated to establish and grows luxuriantly. It will cover any structure and can grow up to 30-40’ high when allowed to climb!
